The Free Toolkit keeps your data on your computer. We run no analytics. No ads.

  • The scorecard runs entirely in your browser — answers are never transmitted, stored, or tracked.
  • The Free Toolkit runs on your computer: it looks in the folders you tick, looks up the names of AI apps and browser add-ons installed on it, and keeps a scrambled fingerprint of this computer's IDs on it. It changes none of your files and sends nothing anywhere.
  • We run no analytics and no advertising on this site.
  • No account, no sign-up, no cookies to accept.
  • If you contact us, we keep the correspondence and use it to answer you. That's it.

Your computer can still send things on its own. Windows may check a new download with Microsoft, your antivirus may send it a sample, and a folder synced to OneDrive, iCloud or Dropbox copies whatever you save there. GlassBots does not control these.

Australian Privacy Principles

Where GlassBots handles personal information, we handle it in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) set out in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

Your rights: access, correction, and complaints

Under the Australian Privacy Principles you can request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask for corrections, and complain — to us first at info@glassbots.com, and to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au) if we let you down. Suspected breaches affecting you will be notified to you and the OAIC as the law requires.

In-region storage

If you engage us, you choose what to share: an interview, or a folder of files (we provide a redaction guide — remove customer names first; the analysis doesn't need them). Files are stored in-region (Australia or the US), accessed over an encrypted, logged, revocable channel, and deleted on the date stated in writing.

Deletion dates

Client material is deleted on the date stated in writing at the start of the engagement. Every support session is written to a log you can read without asking us.

AI processing

Material is sent only to the model providers configured for your engagement, in jurisdictions you approve. Which model saw what, and when, is recorded per output.

Chat assistant

The assistant on this site is AI — it says so when it greets you. Your questions are sent to a third-party AI model provider (routed via OpenRouter) to generate the reply. Messages are not used for marketing, and no account is required.

Guard Toolkit (coming)

Guard is not available yet. This section applies once it launches.

Guard (coming): with a Guard subscription, your Guard Toolkit will send your check results — findings and scores, never the contents of your files — to GlassBots for analysis, so we can send you a deeper report. This is set out in the Guard terms before you subscribe. The Free Toolkit never sends anything.

Guard will also offer an optional box, unticked unless you tick it: you can let us use your check results, with your business name and file names removed, to build combined figures that help us understand what businesses like yours need. Guard works the same whether or not you tick it, and you can switch it off at any time.

Sub-processors

As few as possible, named in full in the policy: OpenRouter and routed model providers, our email and hosting providers, and Tailscale for optional client-controlled support access. Changes are notified to active clients first.

Australian privacy law reform: what's in force and what's next

Australia's privacy law reform is already underway. The Privacy and Other Legislation Amendment Act 2024 introduced new doxxing offences (in force from 11 December 2024) and a statutory tort for serious invasions of privacy (in force from 10 June 2025). The next tranche — including transparency obligations for significant automated decision-making (ADM) — takes effect from 10 December 2026, with further reforms following. GlassBots reviews its practices against each tranche as it commences, updates this statement and the full policy (C-16) accordingly, and notifies active clients before any change affects how their information is handled. Our baseline stays the same: hold as little as possible, keep it in your region, delete it on a date we state in writing, and never ask for your passwords.

EU AI Act: transparency duties in force since 2 August 2026

From 2 August 2026, a chatbot must tell people they are talking to an AI, unless that is obvious. That duty sits with the chatbot's maker. Using a chatbot from someone else? Check it tells your customers it's an AI.

What GlassBots can and cannot do

GlassBots is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice, risk classification, or certification. On Windows, the Free Toolkit looks for AI apps and browser add-ons by name on this computer. In the folders you tick, it notes AI-tool settings files, key-shaped values, AI content markers and AI notices. The Free Toolkit sends nothing from your computer. The Free Toolkit also reads this computer's Windows ID and hardware serial numbers and keeps only a scrambled fingerprint of them on this computer, so your checks stay matched to it. It sends nothing. Guard (coming) will use the check results sent by the Guard Toolkit — findings and scores, never the contents of your files — to return a how-to-fix plan and a dated record of your checks. Decisions about classification, risk tier and legal obligations belong to a qualified adviser.
